On May 30th our modest group is heading towards Drakon Racing Circuit, Kaloyanovo. We are leaving Sofia early in the morning and will be smashing the gas a whole day on the track. At dusk after we have enjoyed race driving and filled with matchless emotions on the track we will be heading back.
In order to limit possibilities for too much traffic or any accidents on the track the total number of participants (cars) is limited to 10. We are driving on 30-40 min sessions every hour. After that everyone will be able to take some rest and discuss with the others the lap times, best practices and the perfect racing line.
For time measurement we use several mobile phone apps: RaceChrono, Harry’s Lap Timer or Track Addict. We pair them with external GPS devices for better accuracy. If you want to pay for time measurement from the marshals on the track please let us know in advance!

- 08:00 First meeting point – Costa Coffee parking at LukOil gas Station, Trakia Highway
- 09:00 Second meeting point and gas filling – EKO gas station befor exit Trakia highway
- 09:30 Arrive at the track, unload and prepare the cars
- 10:00 Start of the track day with the first session
- 13:00 Lunch break
- 15:00 Start of the afternoon session
- 18:00 End of the event and prepare for leaving
- 18:30 Heading towards Sofia

- Total number of participants (cars) is limited to 10
- All taxes will be payed to the marshals at the race track
- Participants have to bring their own wheels and tires
- Every participant should fill out driver/passenger form
- Wearing helmet by all drivers and passengers is mandatory

Drakon racing circuit was built in the beginning of 2005 on a former airport covering total area of 165 000 square meters. Huge advantage of the circuit is that it is located in the middle of the country near the main road connecting North and South parts of Bulgaria and only 10 km away from Trakia Highway. City of Plovdiv is 20 km south from the track and Hisarya resort is 15 km to the north. The geographic location of the whole complex offers very easy access for spectators and drivers from all over the country while the mild climate allows using of the circuit through almost the whole part of the year, even during the winter season.
